Thanks for your interest in our Edinburgh workplace comedy! Here’s the casting call that you might already have seen:
We’ve got a project that’s shooting in Edinburgh on Tuesday 18th February, and we require two actors for the shoot (roles detailed below).
It’s a couple of short (circa 2-3min) episodes of a workplace documentary comedy, in which a small green puppet has been promoted to a position of senior leadership within a major UK retailer. Besides this central puppet role, we require:
KIERA, character age roughly mid-twenties (and definitely somewhat flexible). Formerly working in retail, she’s moved over to head office after her puppet associate was promoted. She’s the confidante and the greatest defender of our 75cm puppet protagonist, often on the back foot because of her diminutive colleague’s antics.
PAUL, character age roughly late 30s/early 40s (again flexible). Paul’s an ambitious and confident member of senior management, and we suspect he had half an eye on the leadership role that our puppet pal has just been promoted to. Now, he has to make this working relationship succeed.
Please note that video content demonstrating comedy experience or ability (e.g. showreels, self-tapes, excerpts, anything) will be beneficial in helping us cast these roles at short notice. Informal questions can be directed to me via PM, but submissions for the role must ultimately come through this form.
Thanks, and looking forward to hearing from you,
David
As noted, this is a paid role and shoots in Edinburgh on Tuesday 18th February. Here’s the submission form for all applicants - happy to share a script and more detail with candidates upon their agreeing to the confidentiality clause:
